Do not use these scores to judge a person, and treat them as no basis for decisions about authorship, someone’s work or education, discipline, or anything legal.
A character edit can move the score, and 7 of 192 older human passages crossed the cut-off. Treating this score as proof would be a mistake.
The watermark on this site
This is a public implementation inspired by green-list research. The home page uses prepared passages and precomputed results; the checker scores pasted text inside your browser. The cleaner applies only word or character changes selected in that page.
It does not test, reproduce or remove the watermark used by Claude or any other product. Anthropic says Claude uses a version of SynthID-Text; Declawd uses a separate public KGW-inspired method and cannot interoperate with it.
The SynthID-Text fixture reproduces a fixed public reference profile with an educational key. It accepts no prose, has no detector threshold and cannot establish AI use.

Accuracy and limits
The figures cover this method, its prepared passages and 192 older human passages. They do not describe Claude, other watermarks or AI-assisted writing in general.
